OAA meets Portland Business Alliance

Oregon Business People interconnect with BW Alumni


On March 30, 2011, the Portland Business Alliance visited Germany for expanding their networks. The OAA board and interested Oregon Alumni were invited to a reception and dinner at the Arcotel Camino in Stuttgart to interconnect with a delegation of an announced 20 members of the Portland Business Alliance who are active in different industries located in Portland, Oregon.

Among the Oregon delegation were members of the Portland city as major Sam Adams, members of Portland State University as the Dean of the Business department, representatives of major companies and industries in the Portland metro area as of the port Portland, Metro, the Pacific NW Trade Association, and leading members of the Portland Business Alliance, and many others.

The German invitees were board members and honorary members of the Oregon Alumni Association e. V., faculty members of universities and university of applied sciences of the Stuttgart area, representatives of major companies and industries in the German Southwest, representatives of the Oregon Study Center Germany, and representatives of the U. S. consulate, and many others.

The reception was accompanied by Edward Alford as a senior member of the U.S. Consulate Germany, Frankfurt. In his speech, he emphasized his thank to everybody on both sides who lives the spirit and makes both exchanges and interrelations possible between the countries of the United States of America and Germany. His emotional speech gained the ovations of the German and the American delegates.
